Voisper lets you have 3-minute voice chats with new people and keep in touch with the ones you like as friends. This policy explains what we process and why. Voisper is for people 18 and older only.

What we collect

• Account: username, password (stored only as a one-way hash), gender, date of birth (age check and showing your age), avatar, optional "about" text, app and match language.
• Country: derived from your connection (IP address, via Cloudflare) or your device region. Your country is shown to people you are matched with.
• Optional: email address (account recovery only) and profile photo (visible to friends only).
• Messages: texts, photos, videos and voice messages you send to friends are stored on our server so they can be delivered and kept in your history.
• Call records: who you talked to, when and for how long (NOT the audio) — for call history, fair matching and abuse prevention.
• Safety records: reports and blocks you make or receive.
• Purchases: package, amount and date. Payments are processed by Google Play or Stripe; we never see your card details.
• Device data: a push token (Firebase Cloud Messaging) to deliver notifications; crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics: device model, OS version, technical error details and your internal account ID — never your username or email).
• Server logs: IP address and request data, kept for a limited time for security and debugging.

Voice calls

Calls are never recorded. Audio travels end-to-end encrypted (WebRTC, DTLS-SRTP) directly between devices or, if a direct connection is not possible, through our relay server, which cannot decrypt or store it. Microphone access is requested only so you can talk.

How we use it

• To run the service: matching (language, optional gender preference), calls, friends, messaging, notifications, token balance.
• Safety: reviewing reports, restricting accounts that break the rules, preventing fraud and abuse. During a report review authorized staff may view the related messages; messages cannot be altered and every review is logged.
• Improving the service: crash reports and aggregate statistics (e.g. average waiting time).

We show no ads, do not sell your data and do not share it for advertising.

Who can see it

• People you are matched with: username, avatar, age, gender, country. Never your photo or email.
• Friends: additionally your profile photo, online / last seen status and your conversation.
• Service providers (only to provide the service): hosting, Cloudflare (network security), Google Firebase (notifications, crash reports), Google Play and Stripe (payments).
• Authorities, where required by law.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in the app or on the website under Profile → Account → Delete account; your profile, messages, photos, videos, voice messages, friendships and push registrations are deleted immediately. Payment records (where the law requires) and reports you made about others are kept without your identity. Backups roll over within 14 days. More: Account deletion.

Your rights

You may access, correct, delete and object to the processing of your data (GDPR, KVKK and similar laws). Edit your profile in the app; for other requests write to [email protected].

Age limit

Voisper is not for anyone under 18. Date of birth is required at sign-up; accounts found to belong to minors are closed. If you meet one, report them in the app with the reason "Under 18". More: Child Safety Standards.

Security

Connections are encrypted (HTTPS / TLS), passwords are hashed, photo links are signed and expire. No system is perfect; if you find a security issue please contact us.

Changes

We may update this policy and will announce important changes in the app.
